On Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, Brigadier (Retired) Asrat Mehmood, Advisor CSR at MPCL Head Office in Islamabad, visited Noor-e-Sehar Special Education School. His arrival was scheduled for 12:00 noon, accompanied by Colonel (Retired) Farooq Azam Janjua, DM CSR, and Mr. Hairrudin Baloch, Sustainability & CSR Officer from MPCL Field Office Daharki. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the impact of MPCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and engage with the students and staff of NSSES.
Upon his arrival, Brigadier Asrat Mahmood received a warm welcome from the Principal and the staff of Noor-e-Sehar Special Education School. The visit commenced with a gathering of students in the dining hall, where Brigadier Asrat had the opportunity to meet and interact with numerous students. Subsequently, he toured the school building, visiting classrooms and the physiotherapy department.
During the visit, the Principal provided a comprehensive overview of the school’s overall operations and the facilities offered. The Academic Coordinator briefed the guests on the curriculum, which is specially designed to foster individualized learning with a focus on academic, vocational, and life skills. Following this, Ms. Saiqa Tabbasum, Ms. Aisha Kiran, Ms. Saira Khan, Mr. Javed, and Mr. Shahzad Hussain, representing their respective departments, provided detailed explanations of their department’s functions and operations.
Towards the end of the visit, Brigadier Asrat also visited Jinnah Hall and expressed his satisfaction with the available facilities. He commended the Principal and other staff members of NSSES for effectively addressing the unique challenges associated with special education and for making a positive impact on the lives of these special students.
