Individual Education Plan
An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is a written document prepared for a named student. It specifies the learning goals that are to be achieved by the student over a set period of time and the teaching strategies, resources and supports necessary to achieve those goals.
- The objective of the individual education plan is to:
- Support the life-long learning of the student
- Express the advancement and development of student positively
- Provide the positive learning experiences
- Areas for consideration in an Individual Education Plan are:
- Personal and social skills
- Cognitive ability
- Motor skills
- Language and communication
- Literacy/numeracy
- Attitude and motivation
